charmed stay in central spot

the location proved very central. it made access to the underground and key sites easy. i received a room with a balcony, and it was a pleasant surprise. the staff were very attentive when i felt unwell .
I noticed a lack of shelves in the bathroom shower. It would be useful to have a place for toiletries. also, i found no hooks for wet towels.

The hotel provides luggage storage before check-in and after check-out. there is a modern bar downstairs. the hotel breakfast included a large assortment of delicious choices, ensuring something suited all preferences. This made mornings very easy.

mixed feelings about this stay

The staff was helpful enough. It was adequate i guess
the room felt cramped it barely accommodated my luggage the small window offered a dismal view overlooking some sort of utility area plus the noise from nearby air conditioning units was constant it was far from the peaceful retreat i wanted

small roomthin walls
the room felt smaller than expected, especially with luggage. also, i found that the soundproofing wasn't great. i could hear noise from the hallway (i think some people were having a party!) and street noise, a little difficult to sleep soundly. the thin walls, outside noise was disruptive.

The room size was larger than i expected. The breakfast had lots of options (especially the fresh fruit!). I think the location is useful because it is near the Pl. Catalunya.
The room was not cleaned perfectly. I saw some dust in corners. the bathroom shower did not work very well, it was always too hot.
